Recalls can be scary. But, knowing what products are recalled is a way to make sure you keep you and your family safe. Below are some recent recalls:
Fisher-Price Rock ‘n Play Sleeper:
Fisher-Price issued another recall of its Rock ‘n Play Sleepers. Four years ago, Fisher-Price issued a recall of the same products after numerous infant deaths were reported. The same recall was recently extended after additional reports of infant deaths. The fatalities occurred after infants rolled from their backs to their stomachs or sides while in the sleepers. The sleepers are sold at all Walmart and Target stores nationwide, as well as on Amazon. Consumers are advised to stop using the sleepers immediately. Since the original recall in April 2019, almost five million sleepers have been sold.
Nissan Vehicles:
Nissan is recalling approximately 400,000 vehicles after discovering a defect in the airbag function. The airbag systems are overly vulnerable to wear and tear. This can cause the airbags to detach and the Nissan badge on the steering wheel, and other component parts, to detach and become projectiles. Several injuries have been reported as a result of the airbag defect. The recall affects the following vehicle models: Nissan Frontier, Nissan Titan, Nissan Xterra, Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Armada, and Nissan Quest. Starbucks Frappuccino:
The FDA recently issued a recall of bottled Vanilla Starbucks Frappuccino manufactured by PepsiCo, Inc. and sold under the Starbucks brand name. The bottled drinks are sold at grocery stores across the country. The FDA’s Class II recall was initiated after it was discovered there may be shards of glass in the bottles. Approximately 300,000 bottles are included in the recall and have expiration dates between March 2023 and June 2023.
Paradise Grills Outdoor Kitchens:
Approximately 18,000 First Generation Outdoor Kitchens manufactured by Paradise Grills are recalled due to safety concerns. The manufacturer announced the recall after two consumers reported being severely burned after their kitchens exploded. Since then, Paradise Grills determined that liquid propane gas can accumulate in the kitchen cabinets and cause an explosion when the grill is reignited. The recalled kitchens were sold throughout the south.
